About Camp Throne

We started with a problem nobody wants to talk about.

Every camper knows the moment. It's 2 a.m., you're three miles from the nearest trailhead, and nature has its own schedule. Or you're four hours into a road trip with kids in the back and the next rest stop is a question mark. Or you found the perfect dispersed campsite — no crowds, no reservations, no bathrooms.

The bathroom problem is the reason a lot of people never go past the paved campground. It's the reason parents skip the trip. It's the reason someone rations water on a hot day instead of just drinking it.

So we built the thing we kept wishing existed.

Not a bucket with a lid. Not a rigid plastic box that swallows half your trunk. A real seat that folds flat to four inches, locks solid under 330 pounds, and disappears under a car seat until the second you need it.

We added a toilet paper holder because balancing a roll on your knee in the dark is nobody's idea of a good time. We included liner bags because cleanup should be one knot and a trash can — not a hose, a scrub brush, and a bad afternoon.

What we actually care about

Gear should make the trip easier, not become part of the trip's logistics. Every decision we made came down to one question: does this get in the way, or does it get out of the way?

Camp Throne gets out of the way. Pack it once. Forget it's there. Be glad it is.

Go further out.

The best places are the ones with nothing around them. We'd like you to stop letting the bathroom decide how far you go.
